Kabu Homestead
Regeneration in Rural Japan
Soil is Life
At Kabu Homestead, we are a part of a growing movement that is guided by the values of self-sufficiency and regeneration, leading to greater well-being. We aim to practice simple living, regenerative food production, renewable energy, and skill building. We actively weave together tradition and innovation, contributing to the revitalization of our community. And we believe that cultivating healthy soil is key to safeguarding our future.
We invite you to experience rural living in the mountains of Kochi Prefecture. Whether you're interested in learning about regenerative gardening or simply seeking a peaceful retreat by the Niyodogawa River, we look forward to welcoming you.

Why Regeneration?
Imagine your problem is a hole in your roof. You have a few choices:
Do nothing and risk the whole thing collapsing.
Cover the hole and hope it doesn't get bigger.
Or, do you fix the hole and reinforce the roof, making it stronger than before?
Regeneration is the latter. Regeneration goes beyond preventing further harm; it's about creating systems that are inherently healthy and resilient. At Kabu Homestead, we apply this principle to our land, our community, and our own well-being.
